Is the content on this site advice?
No. Our content is general information for boutique and apparel shop owners. It is written to help you understand point-of-sale software and day-to-day retail tasks such as size runs, label printing, returns and stock transfers. It is not professional advice for your particular business.
We try hard to keep it accurate and current, but shops differ, laws change and mistakes happen. Before you act on anything important, check it against your own situation and, where it matters, with a qualified professional.
Is the tax and legal information reliable?
Treat it as a starting point only. We mention things like sales tax in US states, 5% VAT in the UAE and sales tax in Pakistan because boutique owners ask about them. However:
- It is not tax advice. Rates, thresholds, registration rules and filing duties vary by state, emirate, province and type of goods, and they change. Speak to an accountant or tax advisor in your country.
- It is not legal advice. Notes on consumer rights, returns, privacy or employment are general summaries. A lawyer licensed where you trade can tell you what applies to you.
- The software does not decide your tax. BoutiquePOS lets you set tax rates and tax groups, inclusive or exclusive. You are responsible for choosing the right settings and filing your own returns.
- No certification is implied. Unless a page clearly says otherwise, we do not claim that BoutiquePOS is certified or approved by any tax authority, e-invoicing scheme or fiscal printer program in the United States, the UAE or Pakistan.
How should I read the competitor price comparisons?
Our comparison pages, alternatives pages and savings calculator show other companies’ prices so you can compare like with like. Please keep these points in mind:
- Date checked: competitor figures are public list prices checked 18 Oct 2026, taken from each company’s pricing page or, where a company did not publish figures, from third-party pricing guides. We say which source we used next to the figure.
- They can change: other companies can change their prices, plans and features at any time. We update our figures periodically, but we cannot promise they are current on the day you read them.
- List prices only: we show standard published prices in US dollars per month unless stated. They do not include card processing fees, hardware, add-ons, taxes, promotions or discounts you may be able to negotiate.
- Feature comparisons are simplified. We compare the features boutique owners ask about most. Another product may do things we do not list, or do them differently.
- Calculator results are estimates. The savings calculator uses the numbers you enter and our default assumptions. Your real costs will depend on your own contracts.
If you think a competitor figure on our site is wrong or out of date, tell us through the contact page and we will check it and correct it promptly.
Are the reviews on this site real?
Not yet. Where you see a review, quote or customer story labelled as a sample, it is an illustration written by our team to show the kind of results or feedback a boutique might have. It is not a statement by a real customer, and the names, shops and figures in it are not real.
We label these clearly in line with the US Federal Trade Commission’s rules on endorsements and testimonials, and with consumer protection rules in the UAE and Pakistan, so that no one is misled. We do not publish fake reviews, pay for reviews, or show ratings we have not earned. When we publish real customer reviews or case studies in future, they will be from real customers, with their permission, and any payment or discount they received will be disclosed.
What about “typical” times and results?
Some pages give typical figures, such as how long it usually takes from signup to a first sale for a small boutique, or how long a managed website takes to deliver. These are estimates based on our own setup steps. They are not guarantees. Your time will depend on how many products and variants you have, how clean your data is and how quickly you can review our work.
Whose trademarks are mentioned?
BoutiquePOS and our logo are our brand. Other names on this site, such as Lightspeed, Shopify, Square, WooCommerce, GoHighLevel, Cloudflare, JazzCash, Easypaisa, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay, are trademarks of their respective owners.
We mention them only to describe compatibility (“works with”), integrations, payment methods or comparisons. Their use does not mean those companies endorse, sponsor or are partnered with BoutiquePOS, unless we say so clearly on the page.
What about links to other websites?
Our pages link to other sites, such as competitor pricing pages, government tax sites and integration partners, for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability. A link is not an endorsement.
Do product features vary?
Yes, sometimes. Features, limits and integrations differ by plan, and some depend on third parties (for example, Shopify works only through an integration we discuss on your demo). Screenshots and examples may differ slightly from what you see in the live app as we keep improving it. Your plan details on the pricing page and your order form are what count.
Is anything guaranteed?
To the extent the law allows, the website content is provided “as is”, without any warranty that it is complete, accurate or suitable for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for losses that come from relying on it. This does not limit any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded, including in the UAE and Pakistan.
How do I report a mistake?
If you spot an error, an outdated price or anything that seems misleading, please tell us through the form on our contact page. We read every report and fix confirmed errors quickly, updating the date on the page.
